ABOUT OUR OPEN CALL FOR ENTRY

MUSEA : Intentional Creativity Museum is inviting women artists to participate in our Women Woven Together Open Call for Entry. We have created this special call in honor of International Women’s Day and the upcoming convening of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW) in March of 2021.

Part of our mission at MUSEA is to give women an opportunity to express, through painting, their views and interpretations of “the status of women” and of our interconnectedness. This is a way to report on ourselves and be the ones creating the image of the Feminine we want to see in the world. This art call is the continuation of the work that our Curator, Shiloh Sophia, has been leading at The United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW) for the last 7 years. For her Inaugural show at the UNCSW in 2013, Sophia presented a global show of over 40 women artists displaying the healing art of women and demonstrating the powerful impact art can have post trauma.

This Open Call is a juried show leading to a curated art exhibit that will powerfully express women being woven together through our self-expression, diversity, compassion, connection with the Earth and our awareness of each others’ experiences.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Artists are invited to submit one painting that reflects the status of women through their own understanding and experience. This is open to interpretation, and should connect with a specific area of women's collective experience that the artist wishes to convey. We also desire images that convey women's connection with one another, diversity, strength, challenges, relationship to the earth, family, partners and themselves. We will also accept images that include a man or other gender identities together, with a woman as the central image. We will also accept tasteful nudity.

ENTRY PROCEDURE

1. Click the Blue +Register button at the top right of the page to begin the registration process. This will bring you to the registration area. Create your ArtCall.org account. **Note: You will receive an ArtCall account registration confirmation email.   2. Once registered, click the GREEN “Login” button at the top of the Women Woven Together call for entry page.   3. Once you Login, begin the registration process for this call. Follow all the steps indicated.   4. Once your submission is completed, you will receive an email confirming your submission, and a separate email confirming your payment.
